WELCOME TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION 2011-2012 WANT A GREAT LIFE? (WAGL) Check out my homework calendar....The 6th Grade Boys Health class came up with some terrific suggestions for a great life. You can see one an each day starting in January 20th. If YOU want to add a WAGL go to "My Blogs and Click on "WAGL(s). Send me your WAGL and if I think it is appropriate and not a repeat, I will add it to my homework calendar I want to direct you to my links page to a helpful interactive website for healthy eating, evaluating the your level of fitness, and other helpful information for fitness and weight control. So click on links and look for a website called My Plate. Health for grades 4-6 starts the week of December 5th. The Health Schedule for grades 4-6 can be viewed on "My Homework" application. Select month/year. Just a reminder..the health schedule will not be adjusted for snow days/missed days. Constant readjustments just causes confusion. Parents of 5th/6th graders...Human Development/Family Living begins the week of December 5th. Parents can come see these materials and ask questions at the table set up in the main hall during Conferences. There is a hygiene video for 5th grade and puberty video for 6th grade that will be available for parents to screen during the month of November. They can be signed out at the office. We ask that you return them within 1 day. Human Development/Family Living are taught with boys and girls separated. Be on the alert for back pack mail. Things to check out: Try the hockey word search. It is parts of a hockey stick and some other hockey words. Try my new Football Wordsearch. I did it in 56 seconds. Can you beat that? Booklist: favorite sports stories that are easy reads. Links page: Great for parents and students on health/fitness related sites. Parents, there is a good resource for things to do at birthday parties, sleepovers etc. Puzzle Page: Some goofy pictures made into puzzles. Try them out. NOW AVAILABLE: This school year's Health Schedule is on my Homework Page.
