I grew up in Bucks County, Pa. and
graduated from Pennsbury High School. I decided to be a teacher after
spending fifteen years with a large company and wanting a job that I
could make a difference. I went back to college and did my student
teaching at West Amwell School. Soon after I was teaching third grade
and have been here ever since. This is my 13th year at West Amwell
School. My classroom philosophy is to provide a warm, secure, and
stimulating environment for my students to learn and grow socially,
emotionally, and become the best students that they can be. My favorite
things to do when I am not at school is to spend time with my family,
watching my daughters play sports, working on our small farm, and going
to the beach. I also enjoy going into the city to see Broadway shows. My
favorite animal is the horse and I rode and competed in horse shows for
many years. My students should know that I learn as much from them as
they do from me. |

I grew up in Cape May, New Jersey. I
am a Temple University graduate. I began my teaching career in
Abington, Pennsylvania and then Chicago, Illinois before arriving at
West Amwell in 2003. I love thinking up new and unique ways for
children to learn, because everyone learns differently. I think
learning is fun and exciting, and it is my passion for students to think
the same way. That is not just my job, but one of my favorite
hobbies. When I am not teaching I can usually be found running
outdoors, in dance class, or in my garden!

I have been a special
education teacher at West Amwell School for
seventeen years. Ten of those years were spent
teaching in the Resource Center full-time. For
the past seven years, I had the pleasure of
working as the teacher of the Preschool Disabled
Classroom in the morning and the Resource Center
in the afternoon. I love welcoming the children
to our family at West Amwell, and watching them
progress through the years.
I grew up in
Hunterdon County, and continue to reside there
with my husband, three children, dog, two cats,
and fish. When I’m not at work, I enjoy
spending time with my family, friends, and
pets. I love to read and relax on the beach.
I attended Kutztown University and graduated
with dual certification in Special Education and
Elementary Education. At the present time, I am
working on receiving my Master’s Degree in
Education. My mission as a teacher is to design
a program to meet the needs of each child so
that he or she will grow emotionally, socially,
physically, and intellectually in an atmosphere
of love, acceptance, and support. |

I grew up in Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania. I was
fortunate to have had a very gifted and caring English teacher when I
was in high school. It is because of her that I decided to become a
teacher. I attended Trenton State College and received a Bachelors
Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Special
Education. I have been teaching for 36 years, 17 of those at West
Amwell. My hope as a teacher is to provide a safe and caring
environment for the students with which I work. I feel that it is
important for teachers and students to have a mutual respect for each
other. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter and our
menagerie of animals. I like to watch my daughter perform in concerts
and plays. I relax by playing the piano and singing. I enjoy going to
the beach and to New York to see Broadway musicals. |
