My career at West Amwell School started when I was
attending The College of New Jersey (or at the time, Trenton State
College). I did my student teaching in fourth grade with Mrs. Godown and I
have been a part of the Wildcat Family ever since! I was fortunate to have
my very own classroom in September, 1999 and I began teaching Fifth Grade,
which I did for four years. I then moved to Second Grade and I have been
there since. I am enjoying every minute of it!
I always knew, even as a child, that I wanted to be a
teacher. I would “play school” and teach my stuffed animals math, reading,
or anything else I could teach them. That joy of teaching has enabled me to
live my dreams and do what I truly enjoy. I love how each day is a new day,
full of endless possibilities and I love the way my students enter my
classroom happy and full of curiosity.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and spending time
with my family and friends. I also enjoy, which many of you know, shopping
for shoes and relaxing at the beach with my toes in the sand!
I am currently working on my Masters Degree and I take pleasure in being a
student again. I love the thrill of learning new things and I would like to
instill that love of learning in my students as well! |

I became a Wildcat in 2000 as a fourth
grade sub for Mrs. Godown. I had previously taught in Bucks County and
Philadelphia. After many hours of volunteering in the school where my son
and daughter attended, I realized I wanted to be a teacher, which meant
returning to college.
My husband and I are blessed with a son
and daughter. Spending time with them is one of my favorite things to do.
Although they're adults now, I still encourage them to do their best. As a
teacher I also motivate my students to do their best and think positive.
I grew up in Philadelphia and now live in
Bensalem, PA. My husband and I enjoy going "in town" to visit historical
sites and look at architecture. Attending concerts is another strong
interest we share. As a volunteer usher at a small venue (Keswick Theatre)
we get an up close view and have enjoyed many shows. I try to use music as
a teaching tool whenever possible. My hobbies are reading, drawing, sewing,
boating and observing our spectacular outdoors, especially near the oceans
and rivers.
Our new beginning is a special time for all of us. Best wishes to
all Wildcats!
