I love the uniqueness of teaching kindergarten.
Reaching out to help each child start their school career is a joy. They
are raring to go in September and still charging on when June comes. While
there are many aspects to teaching, I feel it is most important to have fun
and always remember they are 5 years old!
I moved into
the township shortly after my marriage many moons ago. I raised 2 daughters
here and know how special this school and community are. My husband and I
are official empty nesters but do love to travel to visit the girls and
explore new places. My favorites include our country’s national parks. I
also enjoy cooking, reading and long walks. But most of all I love working
with kids.

I guess you could call me a
“Jersey Girl” since I grew up in Bergen County until I was in high
school, and then moved to Sussex County for a number of years. After
spending a few years in the midwest in Missouri and Michigan, I was
happy to return to New Jersey and have lived in this area for the last
18 years. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a teacher !
My mother was a teacher and I have a favorite aunt who taught first
grade forever. I am so excited to be at West Amwell in September and to
be returning to teaching wonderful kindergarteners after a number of
years of directing and teaching in preschool. When I’m not doing “school
things”
I love to work in my flower
gardens, read as many books as I can, go to my children’s soccer and
baseball games, go out to dinner with friends, visit family (I have 13
nieces and nephews) and watch my two favorite teams, the Mets and the
Giants. In my family there is my husband Steve, daughter Amy in her
first year of college in Georgia, daughter Christa in her sophomore
year, son Aaron in seventh grade and son Daniel in second grade. We love
animals and have a dog, three cats and a guinea pig named Freddie.
